As clichéd as it sounds, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, still holds good. Since the 2nd decade of the new millennium, the country has witnessed enormous push being given to sports at all levels including at the grassroot level.
The Integrated Sports Complex is part of the Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi’s ambitious Fit India campaign. The Sports Complex supports multi-disciplinary sports. It houses 19 indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
The outdoor sports facilities that are provided in the Sports Complex are:

The sports complex lies in an expansive land parcel of 15 acres. The facilities are divided into 5 blocks of G+3 storey each. The 15 acre land parcel is divided in the following way:
Outdoor sports: 6.75 acre
Buildings: 2.75 acre
Driveways, Pathways & Landscape: 5.5 acre
The progress of the project was delayed due to the onset of the pandemic and the project will be restarted in due course. The Hubballi Dharwad Smart City Abhivruddhi Society (HDSCAS) officials are upbeat about the completion of the project and letting the athletes of Hubballi-Dharwad have a real chance of becoming international champions of tomorrow.
